Indian wheat will reach Afghanistan via Pakistan, Imran government agrees to open the way.
The Imran Khan government of Pakistan has given a green signal to India to use its routes to send wheat to Afghanistan. This information has been given by tweeting from the official Twitter handle of the Pakistani Prime Minister. Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed all ministries to assist in the cabinet meeting today.
Let us inform that India had last month announced to send 50,000 metric tonnes of wheat to Afghanistan as humanitarian aid. After this, India had requested permission to send wheat through Pakistan’s routes. After which Imran Khan’s government has now accepted India’s request to send wheat to Afghanistan via Pakistan.
Simultaneously, PM Imran Khan announced that Pakistan would also facilitate the return of Afghan patients who had come to India for treatment and were stuck there. Imran Khan has instructed all his ministries to provide maximum facilities to the Afghans.
Imran Khan has ordered immediate shipment of humanitarian aid worth 5 billion rupees. Which will include 50000 metric tonnes of wheat, food items including emergency medical supplies. The meeting with Imran Khan was attended by Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and several ministers and military officials.
